As much as Blue Mountain is known for having amazing restaurants, we get a lot of people asking us what else is in the area. Everyone wants to try something new and find a new favorite to come up for. I took to Facebook and asked all my friends what are their favorite self owned restaurants,diners and dives in the surrounding area. This is what the verdict was;

The Crow Bar and Variety
A new restaurant opening within the last year is quite amazing. Perfectly located down town Collingwood,  this restaurant is a place to eat. Sticky Sweet & Sour apple braised local pork belly, Fried Organic Chicken, Smoked white fish pancakes and roasted winter squash is such a taste of that this menu is made up of. All food is designed as ‘share-ables’ and is encouraged to be shared among each other.

Ted’s Range Road Diner
This unique, amazing, adventure of a diner is something you will be talking about for months. It is so uniquely done and different you will want more. It is so hard to describe how amazing this place is. It is definitely a must. Serving crocodile, baked brie, mussels, bison, elk, caribou, tilapia, crab clusters, surf n’ turf, cordon bleu, chicken Parmesan, ribs and duck.

Northwinds Brewery
Located on First Street in Collingwood, this Brewery is definitely one to talk about. Not only do they have an amazing and tasty menu, they also create and brew their own beer right in the restaurant.
Brewish Scallion Roll, Beer pretzels, pulled pork mac & cheese, buttermilk fried chicken & waffles and do not forget the incredible buttertart for dessert.

The Huron Club
A family owned restaurant has been a Collingwood Hot Spot for years. With an incredible and tasty menu, you will be going back for more. Jerk Chicken tacos, P.E.I mussels(to die for), lobster and avocado sandwich and penne primavera are just a sample of what this place has to offer.

Bent Taco
Having some of the best and most uniquely made tacos in Collingwood, Bent Taco is some where you need to go. It meets all your taco craving and makes you want to try everything on the menu. Located on Pine Street in Collingwood(across from Loblaws) Bent Taco is one place for sure you will leave full and happy. Plum & Peanut Salad, Grilled corn & bacon elote, Kalbi Steam-ginger seared pork taco, beet chorizo tostada taco.

Amazing Italian restaurant located in Collingwood, it is defintely a gem. All homemade sauces, pastas, dessert and mains. Towering Lasagna, Fettuccini Carbonnara and Tuscan Beef Ravoli are just a small portion of what is offered. If you love anything enough, there is a shop attached to that sells all their own sauces and pastas.

Cafe Tremont
This amazing cafe not only offers great coffee but a full menu of intriguing, carefully crafted apps, entrees and dessert. Duck Wings, Fennel Sausage Flatbread, scallop & pork belly, Braised Lamb Shank and Vegetable Curry. I think I am on my way now, this sounds scrumptious.

Beaver & Bulldog
What can I say about B&B ? Other then I love this place. Tuesday’s are by far one of the best nights to go as it is WING NIGHT! They have some of the most amazing wing flavors I have ever had. So different, but work so well. Smoked Tequila & Lime, Australian Lemon Myrtle, Chipotle Mango and Citrus Squeeze are just some to be named. Crispy Filo Shrimp, British Yorkies, Ribeye Sandwich, Spaghetti and Stuffed meatballs, Fish and Chips and Chicken Parm.

The Mill Cafe
located on the left as you enter Thornbury, The Mill Cafe is incredible. With the beautiful views of the river you can enjoy while you chat and discover these mouth watering meals. Beet Salad, Roasted garlic & bacon mussells, chimichurri bread, duck confit, walnut crusted salmon and of course creme brulee.
