Super Bowl Party Check List

A Superbowl party has got to be one of the easiest to plan whether at home or away.  Why? It’s not a fancy shindig. However, it’s more than a gathering of football lovers, it’s a great excuse for friends to get together.

It’s also an excuse to eat all the foods that you have sworn off since you made your New Years’ resolutions at the beginning of January. After all what’s a super bowl without wings, chips, pizza, beer and other fattening foods – embrace the experience. Work it off the next day.

The secrets to successful travel packing elude the majority of people when they are going on vacation. We have all seen the images of people sitting on their suitcases trying to close them but failing miserably because they are way too full. With a few travel packing tips, you will find that taking everything you want when travelling is no chore at all.

The first secret to successful packing is making a list and then sticking to it. It’s easy to go through belongings and debate over whether or not to take something. Individuals usually find themselves taking more than they will actually need just in case. The just in case items are very rarely used, so resist the temptation. If it is not on the list then it does not travel.

So what are the basic “need to knows” of the snowboard ?

There are three types of snowboards to consider: Freestyle, Free ride (all mountain) and Alpine (carving boards).

Freestyle

They are often twin tipped and multi-directional making them good for tricks and half pipes.  These are wide, stable snowboards that are very responsive (flexible) which makes them good for novices. These characteristics make them good for pulling tricks but less responsive in high speed carving due to flexibility and edge grip.

Collingwood Santa Claus Parade -Saturday Nov. 26,  starting at 5:00p.m.

The parade will be held in the early evening to capture the magic of the downtown holiday lights! 

Downtown merchants host open houses, a Christmas Farmers’ Market, special guests and activities entertain throughout the day prior to the parade.

Traditional lighting of the town Christmas tree and fireworks at the end of Hurontario St. will end the festivities.
